Chris Waitt

Chris Waitt is a BAFTA-award winning director who specialises in comedy and special FX. His first feature film ‘A Complete History of My Sexual Failures,’ produced by Warp Films and funded by Film 4, was premiered at the Sundance Film Festival where it was nominated for a Grand Jury Prize and has subsequently been released theatrically worldwide.

His work ranges from animation to puppets to live action FX to mannequins in a wide range of fields from promos, short films, TV, documentary and commercials.

Chris’ outrageous BBC adult puppet comedy ‘Fur TV’ won a BBC Greenlight Award, ‘Best International Comedy’ at the Cologne Conference and a Golden Rose of Montreux (Rose D'Or) comedy award. It has now been developed as an MTV TV series of 8 x 30 min episodes and is currently the No. 1 most viewed show on MTV Online.

His short film, ‘DUPE,’ a live-action motion control special FX comedy about a slacker who clones himself, won a Scottish BAFTA for ‘Best Short Film’ and received a nomination for ‘Best British Short’ at the British Independent Film Awards 2006.
